About Us
Glen Ivey was with Marshall Tire Center, Inc., when it opened its doors on February 2, 1970. He and his wife Dianne purchased the business in 1987. Glen knows every aspect of the tire retail business and loves every bit of it.
Glen's daughter Lori and her husband Mike joined the business in 1988. Mike specializes in wheels and low profile tires and Lori manages the office. Actually, all of the Ivey family members have some part in the success of Marshall Tire Center. Traci (the oldest daughter of Glen and Dianne) teaches school, but helps in the office during holidays and summers. Adam, a 15-year-old grandson, works in the warehouse on Saturdays and during the summers. Rusty, the only son of the owners, is a computer programmer, and writes the programs and maintains the computer system for the company. And all eight grandchildren are featured in the ads for Marshall Tire. It is truly is a family business.
Marshall Tire Center is known mostly for its great service and friendly atmosphere. Glen, Mike, and the office staff know the majority of their customers by name and look forward to serving them. The motto for the company is "Our Customers are Number One!" They know that without customer satisfaction, their business can't be successful. The main goal is to make the customer happy. If a customer isn't satisfied with their service, all they have to do is come back and Glen and his staff will make sure they leave satisfied.
In 1996, Marshall Tire Center was hit by a tornado, which leveled over half the building. But with the help of family and friends, the store was only closed for one day for clean-up, and the building was totally rebuilt within 3 months. New services and amenities are always being added. Besides offering state inspections and oil changes, along with brake and alignment services, Marshall Tire offers free pick-up and delivery of your vehicle when it needs service. They also have customer courtesy vehicles for use because they know the customer has better things to do than sit around a waiting room for two hours.
Glen, Dianne, Mike, Lori, and the staff love their jobs and their business and it shows as soon as you walk through the doors of Marshall Tire Center.
